The Deye BOS-G25 PRO high-voltage storage set with 25.6 kWh is the ideal storage solution for small to medium-sized commercial and agricultural applications. It combines modern lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4) with an intelligent battery management system and enables safe, flexible and long-lasting energy storage. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be easily expanded and is compatible with Deye high-voltage inverters.

Technical performance and safety

The BOS-G25 PRO system consists of 5 battery modules, each with 5.12 kWh (100 Ah, 51.2 V). The modules are connected in series, resulting in a system voltage of 256 volts. The usable energy is 23.04 kWh. The high charging and discharging performance (nominal 100 A, peak 120 A for 2 minutes) ensures a stable supply even for increased power demand.

 

An integrated battery management system monitors each cell individually and reliably protects the system. The charging and discharging temperatures range from -20°C to +55°C, making the system suitable for unheated technical rooms or containers.

Modularity and expansion

The BOS-G25 PRO can be flexibly expanded: Up to 12 modules can be installed per rack. Several racks can be connected in parallel, with the system supporting up to 16 battery racks and 10 AC-coupled inverters. This enables systems with up to 184 kWh capacity. Installation is carried out using standardised components and pre-assembled cables, saving time and costs.

How long does the battery last, and what safety features does it have?

BOS‑G Pro modules offer a service life of ≥ 6,000 cycles at 70 % DoD (0.5 C charge/discharge at 25 °C) together with a 10-year warranty. The integrated LiFePO₄ technology is considered thermally stable and safe, with comprehensive BMS protection against overcharging, deep discharge, overcurrent, cell balancing, temperature monitoring and more.

Can the storage system be operated in parallel with other units or inverters?

Yes, thanks to its modular design, several 19‑inch modules can be connected in parallel, both for capacity expansion as well as for performance increase. The system also supports AC parallel operation with up to 10 Deye inverters. Firmware updates are flexible via USB, WLAN or remote access via the inverter.

What about maintenance and fault diagnosis?

The integrated BMS (Battery Management System) of the BOS‑G Pro continuously monitors the voltage, temperature and current of each cell and reliably protects against under/overcharging as well as overcurrent and temperature. Maintenance and initial diagnosis are performed via the touch display on the module or via remote access (USB/WLAN). Detailed fault descriptions and maintenance instructions can be found in the enclosed installation and operating manual .

Is the system suitable for outdoor use?

The storage system itself is rated IP20 and should therefore be installed in a weather-protected area (e.g. technical room or container).

How is the installation organised, and is a rack required?

The BOS‑G Pro module has a standardised 19‑inch embedded design, enabling quick, tool-free installation and greatly facilitating access for maintenance. For large installations with more than eight modules, optional 3‑unit racks can be used to provide stable support and allow tidy cabling. Up to 16 such racks can be installed in parallel as required, enabling high scalability and flexible configuration.

These include VDE-AR-N 4105 for Germany, EN 50549 for the EU, CEI 0-21 for Italy, G98 and G99 for Great Britain, OVE R25 for Austria, RD 1699 and RD 14 for Spain, as well as NRS 097-2-1 for South Africa. As a rule, no additional NA protection is required as soon as the appropriate country profile has been activated.Which high-voltage batteries are compatible and how do I set up the BMS correctly?The approved storage solutions include BYD HVS and HVM, Pylontech Force H1 and H2, Dyness Tower, as well as the Deye GB-L Series. Each storage is assigned a specific setup number, which is selected in the menu “Battery → Lithium → Setup Number”. Alternatively, the same number can be set using the DIP switches on the battery. Other models follow the same procedure and are listed in the compatibility list.How much PV output can be connected without inverter clipping?According to the data sheet, up to 30 kW DC input is permitted, while the AC output is 20 kW. This gives a DC/AC ratio of 1.5. In practice, a ratio of 1.1 to 1.2 is recommended, which equates to around 22 to 24 kWp. Even with 26 to 28 kWp, only minor losses due to clipping occur on a few days according to experience.How loud is the inverter during operation?In standby operation, the inverter remains almost silent as the fans only start at temperatures above 50°C or under sustained load. In normal operation, the noise level is below 45 decibels. Under full load, a clear airflow noise can be heard, but it stays below the maximum sound pressure of 55 decibels, as specified by the manufacturer. For 48V low-voltage storage, you need the LP3 series from Deye.
