Maximum flexibility thanks to interchangeable plugs

The Mascot 2240-24 is consistently designed for adaptability. Thanks to the AC-X system, the charger can be operated worldwide by simply plugging in the appropriate mains adapter (e.g. EU, UK, US, AUS). At the same time, the DC-X system on the output cable allows the charging plug to be changed quickly without having to solder. This significantly reduces the need to stock different country or device variants and offers a universal solution for service and export.

Gentle battery care for a long service life

The proven 3-stage charging characteristic guarantees that your 24V batteries are not only charged, but also maintained. After the main charge with constant current, a timer-controlled phase ensures safe full charging before the device automatically switches to float charging. This compensates for self-discharge and keeps the battery permanently ready for use without subjecting it to thermal stress.

Reliability for professional applications

Mascot chargers are known for their durability and quality. The 2240-24 model is ideal for small medical devices, safety applications, wheelchairs or mobile measuring devices that run on 24 volts. The LED display provides clear information about the current status (charging / full) at all times, and the integrated protective functions prevent damage in the event of incorrect operation.

This means this luminaire does not have its own battery, but is supplied from a central emergency power supply system (also known as CPS) in the building. This simplifies maintenance as the batteries are grouped at a single location. What does "detection range 27m" mean? The detection range is the maximum distance from which an escape sign can still be clearly recognised and read as such. It is determined by the height of the pictogram and is specified in standard EN 1838. A detection range of 27 metres is a common standard value for many applications. What is the blank film used for?The blank film (or dummy film) serves as a placeholder or can be used to cover one side of a luminaire if required. In some cases, it is also used as an indicator luminaire without a specific direction to generally mark an emergency exit. Can the luminaire be operated in permanent and standby mode?Yes. The switching type (permanent operation/DS or standby operation/BS) for the escape sign luminaire is set centrally in the emergency power system for the relevant circuit and can be reprogrammed if necessary. According to most building regulations, escape sign luminaires must be operated in permanent operation.

The anti-panic lighting uses a wide, rotationally symmetrical lens to evenly illuminate large, open areas (e.g. foyers, conference rooms), thereby making orientation easier and preventing panic. What is the advantage of a central battery system (“ZB”)?Central battery systems (CPS) simplify the maintenance and monitoring of the entire emergency lighting system. All batteries are located in a central place, and regular functional tests can be automated and centrally logged. In large buildings, this is much more efficient than servicing hundreds of individual batteries in each luminaire separately. Can the luminaire be operated in both continuous and standby switching?Yes. The switching mode (continuous switching/DS or standby switching/BS) for the emergency luminaire is set centrally in the emergency power system for the relevant circuit and can be reprogrammed as required. How is the luminaire monitored?Monitoring is centralised. If a light source fails or another fault occurs in the luminaire circuit, this is immediately detected by the central control unit, specifically assigned and reported as a malfunction. This allows rapid and targeted troubleshooting.
