Beltrona LED emergency light for surface ceiling mounting (central battery)
Description
Product information
This high-quality emergency luminaire from Beltrona has been specially developed for surface-mount ceiling installation and connection to central battery systems (CPS). It ensures reliable and standard-compliant emergency lighting in case of power failure. The luminaire combines a functional, robust design with modern LED technology, centralised monitoring, and optimised lenses for illuminating escape routes or anti-panic areas.
Highlights at a glance
- Central battery compatible: Designed for direct connection to 230V AC/DC central and group battery systems (ZB / CPS).
- Simple surface mounting: Ideal for direct installation on solid ceilings or in areas without suspended ceiling construction.
- Centralised monitoring: Enables easy and efficient monitoring of luminaire function via the central battery system.
- Durable LED technology: High efficiency, long service life, and minimal maintenance.
- Optimised illumination: Interchangeable lenses for demand-oriented escape route or anti-panic lighting.
Reliable illumination in an emergency
This emergency luminaire is the ideal solution for regulation-compliant emergency lighting in a wide variety of properties. Surface-mounted ceiling installation is perfect for use in corridors, stairwells, offices, shops, schools, and hospitals equipped with a central emergency power system. It ensures that in an emergency, escape and rescue routes are clearly visible and panic in larger areas is avoided by sufficient illuminance.
Advanced and efficient LED technology
At the heart of the luminaire is a modern LED module that ensures high luminous efficiency with minimal energy consumption. Compared to older fluorescent lamps, LED technology offers a noticeably longer life of up to 50,000 hours and immediate, full brightness in an emergency. This greatly reduces operating costs and maintenance over the lifetime of the building.
Designed for easy installation and centralised maintenance
The luminaire is designed for fast and error-free installation by a specialist installer. Connection to the central battery system is via an easily accessible terminal. In a central system, each individual luminaire is permanently monitored via the supply line. Failure of the light source is immediately detected and reported by the central control unit, which significantly simplifies maintenance compared to individual battery luminaires and increases operational reliability.

FAQs about the emergency luminaire
What is the difference between escape route lighting and anti-panic lighting?
The escape route lighting uses a special lens to illuminate a long, narrow corridor, thereby clearly defining the course of the escape route. The anti-panic lighting uses a wide, rotationally symmetrical lens to evenly illuminate large, open areas (e.g. foyers, conference rooms), thereby making orientation easier and preventing panic.
What is the advantage of a central battery system (“ZB”)?
Central battery systems (CPS) simplify the maintenance and monitoring of the entire emergency lighting system. All batteries are located in a central place, and regular functional tests can be automated and centrally logged. In large buildings, this is much more efficient than servicing hundreds of individual batteries in each luminaire separately.
Can the luminaire be operated in both continuous and standby switching?
Yes. The switching mode (continuous switching/DS or standby switching/BS) for the emergency luminaire is set centrally in the emergency power system for the relevant circuit and can be reprogrammed as required.
How is the luminaire monitored?
Monitoring is centralised. If a light source fails or another fault occurs in the luminaire circuit, this is immediately detected by the central control unit, specifically assigned and reported as a malfunction. This allows rapid and targeted troubleshooting.
