What voltage and currents apply to the 6-module tower?
A tower with six modules achieves a nominal voltage of 307.2 V (6 × 51.2 V at 100 Ah). The permissible continuous current is 50 A per tower, briefly up to 150 A for 10 seconds is possible.
How far can the system be expanded in total?
The system is designed for maximum flexibility. Six modules are possible per tower, which is equivalent to 30.7 kWh. By paralleling up to six towers a total capacity of around 184 kWh can be realised.
Which hybrid inverters is the 30 kWh tower compatible with?
The storage is officially approved for three-phase Deye hybrid inverters of the SUN-xK-HP3 and SUN-xK-BM series. The combination is factory matched, plug & play is possible without further configuration.
Is outdoor installation of the tower permitted?
Yes, the system is fully protected against dust and water jets thanks to IP65 housing. The permissible temperature range is between –20 °C and +55 °C, with a humidity of up to 95 %. The prerequisite is a weather-protected location with free air circulation.
Does the system require active cooling?
No, the storage operates fanless with passive convection. The manual only prescribes a minimum distance of 20 cm behind the housing to ensure sufficient heat dissipation.

System composition
- This product is a set and consists of seven separate main components which together result in a 30.72 kWh tower system.
Component 1: Deye AI-W5.1-B-BMS (control unit & base)
- The central control unit (BMS cluster) that manages the entire system. This unit forms the base of the battery tower.
Components 2 to 7: Six Deye AI-W5.1-BATT battery modules (each 5.12 kWh)
- Six pure battery modules of 5.12 kWh each, which are stacked on the BMS unit and on top of each other.
1 x set of battery connection cables (plus & minus)
- A pair of high-performance cables for connecting the BMS unit with an external hybrid inverter.
1 x communication cable (CAN/RS485)
- A data cable for communication between the BMS and the inverter.
5 x connection bridges / parallel connection cables
