How much usable energy and electricity does the 20 kWh stack provide?
The stack provides 18.4 kWh of usable energy at 90% depth of discharge. The continuous current is 50A, which means that even larger hybrid systems can be safely and efficiently supplied.
Which inverter is the stack compatible with, and which setup code is required?
The storage is compatible with three-phase Deye hybrid inverters from the SUN-xK-HP3 and SUN-xK-BM series. For communication, the setup code 00 CA is used, which can be set either in the inverter menu or via DIP switches on the BMS.
Can firmware updates be performed remotely?
Yes, firmware updates for the BMS and logger are possible over-the-air (OTA) via the Deye-Cloud platform. This way, the system remains up to date during operation without on-site access.
Is active cooling necessary?
No, the storage works with natural convection, and no fans or external cooling systems are required. However, the manual recommends a minimum distance of 20 cm from the back wall to ensure air circulation.

System composition

Component 1: Deye AI-W5.1-B-BMS (control unit & base)
