What does "axial wire" mean?

Axial connection wires are wires that are routed centrally from both flat ends (poles) of the cylindrical cell, i.e. along the longitudinal axis of the battery. This configuration is ideal for horizontal mounting and for passing the wires through holes in a PCB (Through-Hole Technology, THT).

Is this battery rechargeable?

No. This is a lithium primary battery. Under no circumstances should it be attempted to recharge it. Charging attempts are extremely dangerous and may cause fire or explosion.

Can I use this battery as a replacement for a normal 1.5V AA battery?

No, definitely not. This CRAA cell has a nominal voltage of 3 volts, whereas standard AA batteries (alkaline, lithium, NiMH) have 1.5 volts. It should only be used in devices that are explicitly designed for the 3-volt lithium type CRAA, as the higher voltage would destroy other devices.

How should this battery be disposed of?

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. As an industrial battery, it is subject to the provisions of the Battery Act. Please return the empty battery to the designated industrial or municipal collection points to ensure proper and environmentally friendly recycling.
