This high-quality NiMH battery is the proven power source for the widely used Scanreco radio remote controls, which are especially used with Palfinger, Fassi, HMF and Effer loader cranes.
It replaces the classic original batteries with designations 590 and 592 as well as the part numbers 13445, 16131 and 17162. With 7.2 volts and a capacity of mostly 1,500 mAh to 2,000 mAh (depending on cell equipment) this battery restores your remote control to full performance and often replaces old, weak NiCd batteries.

FAQs on the Palfinger / Scanreco 590 battery
My old battery has 3 contacts, this one only 2. Will it fit?
Usually, yes. Scanreco batteries generally have 2 main contacts (+ and -) on the face. Some older versions or special designs had a third contact for temperature monitoring. The modern NiMH replacement batteries work flawlessly in the standard chargers (Type 434 / 435) and transmitters even with 2 contacts, as the charging cut-off is via delta peak (voltage).
Can I continue to use my Palfinger charger?
Yes. The standard charger in the lorry or the mains charger (often known as 434, 435 or 439) charges this battery without issues. As the new battery has more capacity (2.0 Ah), charging takes a little longer than before, but it also lasts longer.
What is the difference between type 590 and 592?
Historically, there were differences in cell chemistry (NiCd vs NiMH) or capacity. Today, this form factor (Scanreco block) is the universal replacement for both numbers. This battery replaces both types.
