FAQs about the solar extension cable 2m 6mm²

Isn’t 6mm² oversized for a length of just 2 metres?

Technically yes, but it offers reserves. While 4mm² is usually sufficient for this length, 6mm² offers higher mechanical robustness and is already perfectly equipped for future module generations with currents above 15A.

Does the cable fit my inverter from Hoymiles or Deye?

Yes. The connectors used comply with the MC4 standard, which is used worldwide for almost all solar modules and micro inverters. They fit mechanically and electrically perfectly.

Can I connect two of these 2m cables end to end?

Yes, that is possible. The cables can be cascaded as required. Please note, however, that each connection represents a tiny contact resistance. For short overall distances, however, this is negligible.
