FAQs about the solar extension cable 10m 6mm²

Why should I choose 6mm² instead of 4mm²?

For more yield and safety. Although 4mm² is often technically sufficient, the resistance decreases with 6mm². This leads to less heat development in the cable and a higher voltage at the inverter. Especially for modules with high currents (13A and more), 6mm² is the technically superior choice.

Do the connectors fit my inverter from Growatt or Victron?

Yes. The connectors used comply with the global MC4 standard. They fit mechanically and electrically perfectly to the connections of almost all common solar modules, micro inverters and charge controllers.

Can I shorten the cable if necessary?

Yes, with the right tool. You can cut the cable to size. However, please note that you will need professional MC4 connectors and special crimping pliers for the new connection to ensure a permanently secure connection.
