FAQs about the solar cable black 100m 4mm²
Is the cable suitable for direct burial?
Only in protective conduit. The cable is suitable for installation in pipes and ducts in the ground, as long as it is ensured that it does not lie permanently in water. Direct installation without protective conduit in the ground is not recommended.
Why is the conductor tinned?
For protection against corrosion. The tinning of the copper wires prevents oxidation of the copper, especially in humid environments or in contact with salty air. This ensures consistently high conductivity throughout the service life of the system.
Can I lay this cable indoors as well?
Yes. Thanks to the flame-retardant and halogen-free properties of the XLPO insulation, the SOLS4100 can be safely installed in buildings to deliver the energy to the inverter room.
