Recessed ceiling emergency light for central battery systems with optional suspension

Description

Product information

This multifunctional emergency luminaire is a modern and high-quality safety light that has been designed for discreet integration into suspended ceilings and also offers the possibility of suspension. Connected to central battery systems (CPS), it combines durable LED technology with a robust design to ensure maximum safety. Thanks to its dual mounting option, it is the ideal, flexible solution for professional construction projects with different ceiling heights and architectural requirements.

Highlights at a glance

  • Central battery compatible: Developed for direct connection to 230V AC/DC central and group battery systems.
  • Flexible mounting: Suitable for discreet ceiling installation as well as for suspended installation in high rooms.
  • Centralised monitoring: Enables simple and efficient monitoring of the luminaire function via the central battery system.
  • Long-life LED technology: High efficiency, long service life (e.g. 50,000 hours) and minimal maintenance.
  • Optimised illumination: Interchangeable lenses for demand-based escape route or anti-panic lighting.

Reliable safety lighting for professional properties

This emergency luminaire is the ideal solution for a wide range of professional construction projects. As a recessed luminaire, it integrates seamlessly into the ceilings of offices, corridors, retail outlets and hospitals. Its additional ability for suspended mounting also makes it the perfect choice for areas with high ceilings such as entrance halls, foyers, warehouses or production areas where regulation-compliant illuminance at floor level must be ensured.

Advanced and efficient LED technology

The heart of the luminaire is a modern LED module that ensures high luminous efficacy with minimal energy consumption. Compared to older fluorescent lamps, LED technology offers a significantly longer service life, greater switching stability and immediate, full brightness in the event of an emergency. This significantly reduces operating costs and maintenance requirements throughout the entire service life of the building.

Designed for easy installation and centralised maintenance

The luminaire is designed for quick and fault-free installation by the installation professional. In a central battery system, each individual luminaire is permanently monitored via the supply line. If a light source fails or another fault occurs, this is immediately detected by the central control unit and reported as a fault. This ensures a high level of operational reliability for the entire system.

FAQs on the luminaire for central battery systems

What is the advantage of a central battery system compared to a luminaire with a single battery?

Central battery systems (CPS) significantly simplify the maintenance and monitoring of the entire emergency lighting system. All batteries are located in one central, easily accessible location. Regular function tests can be automated and logged centrally. This is especially more efficient and often more economical in large buildings than maintaining hundreds of individual batteries in the luminaires themselves.

When do I use recessed mounting and when do I use suspended mounting?

The recessed mounting is ideal for standard ceiling heights in offices, corridors or shops to create discreet lighting integrated into the architecture. The suspension is used in rooms with very high ceilings (e.g. halls, foyers) to lower the luminaire to the standard-compliant height and thus achieve the required illuminance at floor level.

What are different lenses needed for?

Different areas in a building require different lighting patterns. An escape route lens creates a long, narrow light corridor to optimally illuminate escape routes. An anti-panic lens creates a wide, square light distribution to evenly illuminate large, open areas and avoid panic.

How is the luminaire monitored?

Monitoring is centralised. If a light source fails or another fault occurs in the luminaire circuit, this is immediately detected by the central control unit, specifically assigned and reported as a fault. This enables quick and targeted troubleshooting.
