What is the advantage of the double connections (SAE & GM)?

The combination of the top-mounted standard round terminals (SAE) and the side threaded terminals (GM standard) offers maximum flexibility. You can connect the main vehicle cables to one type of terminal and accessories such as winches, compressors or hi-fi amplifiers simply and tidily to the second set of terminals.
