The Olight i1R 2 Pro is an extremely compact, rechargeable LED torch specially designed for the key ring (EDC – Everyday Carry). It is the upgrade of the popular i1R 2 EOS and is distinguished primarily by the modern USB-C charging port and increased battery capacity. Despite its tiny size (barely larger than an AA battery), it delivers an impressive 180 lumens. The black anodised aluminium housing is robust and scratch-resistant.

Operation & Charging
The i1R 2 Pro uses an intelligent mechanism:
- Switch on (Low): Turn the head slightly clockwise.
- Switch on (High): Turn the head further until it stops.
- Switch off: Turn the head back anti-clockwise.
- Charging: Unscrew the head far anti-clockwise (don't worry, it won't come off!). The head slides upwards to expose the USB-C port. A small LED lights up Red (charging) or Green (Full).

FAQs about the Olight i1R 2 Pro
Can I replace the battery?
No. The 130mAh lithium-ion battery is permanently integrated into the housing to ensure waterproofness (IPX8) and extremely compact dimensions. As the torch is intended for short use, the battery will last many years under normal use.
What is the difference to the old i1R 2 (without Pro)?
The most important upgrade is the charging port.
- Old (i1R 2 EOS): Micro-USB (the head had to be completely removed).
- New (i1R 2 Pro): USB-C (the head stays attached). The Pro also has slightly more luminosity (180 vs. 150 lumens) and a larger battery (130mAh vs. 70mAh).
Does the torch turn on by itself in your pocket?
That is very unlikely. The rotary mechanism has a pleasant resistance. Since you have to tighten the head to switch on the torch, this almost never happens accidentally (unlike lamps with side switches).
