Does this battery fit in any 18650 torch?

As this battery has an integrated protection circuit (PCB), it is approx. 69.3 mm and therefore somewhat longer than an unprotected standard industrial cell (65 mm). Most high-quality torches (e.g. from Nitecore, Fenix, Olight) are, however, designed precisely for these protected batteries. If in doubt, please check the operating instructions of your device.

Do I need a special charger?

Yes, you need a charger that is designed for lithium-ion batteries of 18650 size and operates at 3.7V nominal voltage (charging end voltage 4.2V). We recommend intelligent chargers that automatically detect the charging end.

Can I use this battery instead of CR123A batteries?

If your torch is mechanically (diameter) and electrically (voltage) designed for use with an 18650 battery, yes. An 18650 battery usually replaces two CR123A batteries and offers enormous cost benefits in the long run.

How should this battery be disposed of?

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can hand in the old battery free of charge at municipal collection points or in stores.
