Does this battery fit in every 18650 torch?

As this battery has an integrated protection circuit (PCB), it is slightly longer at approx. 69.2 mm than an unprotected standard industrial cell (65 mm). However, most high-quality torches (e.g. from Nitecore, Fenix) are specifically designed for these protected batteries. Please check your device's user manual if in doubt.

Do I need a special charger?

Yes, you require a charger designed for lithium-ion batteries of size 18650 and working with a nominal voltage of 3.7V (final charging voltage 4.2V). Nitecore offers a wide range of suitable and safe chargers for this purpose (e.g. Intellicharger series).

Can I use this battery instead of CR123A batteries?

If your torch is mechanically (diameter) and electrically (voltage) configured for operation with a 18650 battery, yes. A 18650 battery usually replaces two CR123A batteries. This is significantly more cost-effective and environmentally friendly over time.

How must this battery be disposed of?

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally required to return used batteries. You can hand in the old battery free of charge at municipal collection points or in stores.
