Mascot Li-Ion charger 3546LI 29.4V 1.0A (7 cells)
Description
Product information
The Mascot 3546LI (29.4V) is a precise and reliable charger from the "Blueline" series, specially developed for 7-cell lithium-ion battery packs (7S, nominal voltage approx. 25.2V - 25.9V). With a charging current of 1.0 ampere and a precisely matched charging curve, it ensures a safe full charge that maximises the service life of your batteries. Thanks to medical approval (EN 60601-1 3rd Edition) and universal applicability, this device is the first choice for demanding applications in medical technology as well as professional industrial equipment.
Highlights at a glance
- Optimised for 7S Li-Ion: The charging characteristics are specifically set to a final charging voltage of 29.4V to safely and fully charge 7-cell lithium packs.
- Intelligent charge control: The 3-stage charge cycle (CC-CV shutdown) with current monitoring guarantees gentle charging and reliably prevents overcharging.
- Medical certification: Meets the strict safety requirements of EN 60601-1 (3.1 Ed) and is therefore approved for use in patient environments.
- Universal input: Thanks to wide-range input (90-264 VAC) and interchangeable mains plugs or mains cables (depending on configuration), the device can be used worldwide.
- Compact and efficient: State-of-the-art switching power supply technology ensures high efficiency with low heat generation and a compact design.
- High safety: Integrated protection circuits against reverse polarity, short circuit and thermal overload protect both the device and the battery.
Precise charging technology for 7-cell packs
The Mascot 3546LI uses a 3-stage charging process optimised for lithium batteries:
- Constant current (CC): The battery is charged with a constant current of 1.0A (LED orange/yellow) until the charging final voltage of 29.4V is reached.
- Constant voltage (CV): The device keeps the voltage stable at 29.4V, while the current slowly drops to fully saturate the cells.
- End of charge (Charge Complete): Once the charging current drops below a defined threshold, the device switches off the charging current (LED green). This prevents the "trickle charge" effect that is harmful to lithium batteries. In the event of a voltage drop, a new cycle starts automatically.
Ideal for medical and industrial use
This charger is ideally suited for powering medical devices such as patient lifts, mobile diagnostic devices or e-bikes and electric scooters which are based on 24V/25V Li-Ion systems (7 cells). Medical approval guarantees maximum reliability even in sensitive environments.

FAQs about the Mascot 3546LI 29.4V charger
What does "7S" mean?
"7S" stands for a series connection of 7 lithium-ion cells. As a single cell has a final charging voltage of 4.2V, the total pack results in a charging voltage of 29.4V (7 x 4.2V). This charger is set precisely to this.
Can I use it to charge 24V lead-acid batteries?
No. Although the voltages may appear similar, lead-acid batteries require a different charging curve and trickle charge. Using this Li-Ion charger with lead-acid batteries can cause damage. Please use the Mascot "LA" models (e.g. 2240 or 2541) for lead-acid batteries.
When is the battery fully charged?
The charging process is complete when the LED indicator lights up solid green. The device then switches off the charging current, as the battery is fully saturated.
What connections are possible?
The 3546 series is very flexible. On the input side, there are versions with a fixed mains cable or interchangeable mains plugs (interchangeable clips). On the output side, either the Mascot Snap-Lock system or a DC hollow plug is often installed. Please check the exact configuration of your model.
