Deye GB-W58.8 - 58.8kWh Modular high-voltage battery system
Deliverable from: 26/06/2026
Description
Product information
The Deye GB-W58.8 is a powerful, cabinet-based complete solution for storing large amounts of energy. With a total capacity of 58.8 kWh this system combines several high-voltage battery modules in a pre-assembled unit. It is the ideal choice for users seeking a robust and plug-and-play solution for demanding residential or commercial applications.
As a high-voltage (HV) system, it operates at a high nominal voltage which, in conjunction with Deye hybrid inverters, enables maximum efficiencies during charging and discharging. The modular internal architecture also ensures easy maintenance and provides the safety of proven lithium iron phosphate technology.
Highlights at a glance
- Enormous storage capacity: Provides 58.8 kWh of usable energy to guarantee a reliable power supply even for high consumption or periods of bad weather lasting several days.
- Safe cell chemistry (LiFePO4): Uses lithium iron phosphate cells, which are known for their high thermal stability, safety and long service life.
- Efficient high-voltage technology: Reduces current during transmission, resulting in lower heat losses and increased system efficiency.
- Integrated master BMS: A central battery management system monitors all internal modules, ensuring precise balancing and comprehensive protection.
- All-in-one design: The modules are safely housed in a stable cabinet system, optimising space requirements and simplifying on-site installation.
- High charging and discharging performance: Enables the operation of high-power devices and supports fast recharging via photovoltaic or mains electricity.
- Intelligent communication: Fully compatible with the Deye ecosystem for real-time monitoring and straightforward remote maintenance via the cloud.
Areas of application
The GB-W58.8 system is designed for scenarios with high energy requirements:
- Larger residential complexes & apartment buildings
- Central storage of PV surplus to supply multiple residential units or communal areas.
- Commercial & agriculture
- Optimisation of self-consumption for operations requiring high electricity during the day and night as well as for reducing peak loads.
- Island operation & off-grid solutions
- Provision of a massive energy reserve for sites without a stable grid connection in combination with powerful hybrid inverters.
Installation & safety instructions
- Statics & base
- Due to the high total weight of the cabinet system, a load-bearing, level concrete floor at the installation site is essential.
- Ventilation & environment
- Ensure adequate ventilation clearances to walls and other devices to maintain the system's optimum operating temperature at all times.
- Electrical connection
- Installation must only be performed by qualified personnel to ensure correct protection and earthing of the high-voltage system.

FAQs about the Deye GB-W58.8 battery system
Can the system be expanded later?
- Conditionally.
- As the GB-W58.8 is already a pre-configured unit with high capacity, expansion is usually achieved by paralleling additional cabinet systems, provided the inverter supports this.
Is the enclosure suitable for outdoor installation?
- Model dependent.
- By default, these systems are optimised for installation in technical rooms. For outdoor installation, the enclosure must provide the appropriate protection class (e.g. IP55) and temperature management.
How long can the system supply a house with backup power?
- Depends on the load.
- With an average household consumption of 500 W to 1 kW, the system could theoretically supply power for over 50 hours without sunlight.
Does the system support communication with the Internet?
- Yes.
- Via the connected Deye inverter, battery data is transmitted to the Deye cloud portal, allowing you to view status at any time via the app.
