Deye GB-L-PRO4.1 - 4.09 kWh battery module for modular high-voltage storage solutions
Description
Product information
The Deye GB-L-PRO4.1 is a state-of-the-art expansion module for Deye’s GB-L high-voltage battery series. With a gross capacity of 4.09 kWh, it serves as a foundation for scalable energy storage systems for homes and small businesses. By combining multiple modules, the capacity can be precisely adapted to individual energy requirements.
Based on safe lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4), the module offers exceptional cycle stability and thermal stability. The innovative stack design enables wireless connection between modules, minimising installation effort and ensuring a clean, compact appearance.
Highlights at a glance
- Scalable energy: One module provides 4.09 kWh of capacity – a bespoke high-voltage system can be built by simply stacking multiple units.
- Safe LiFePO4 technology: The cobalt-free cell chemistry guarantees maximum safety, a long lifespan and virtually eliminates thermal runaway.
- Plug-and-play installation: Thanks to integrated plug connectors, there’s no need for elaborate DC cabling between individual battery modules during stacking.
- High efficiency: As part of a high-voltage system, the module operates with minimal conversion loss, which boosts the overall PV system’s efficiency.
- Robust & long-lasting: Designed for over 6,000 charge cycles, the module offers a future-proof investment in your energy independence.
- IP65 protection rating: The housing reliably protects the sensitive electronics from dust and water jets, making it ideal for a variety of installation sites.
Areas of application
The GB-L-PRO4.1 module is the flexible basis for a variety of storage solutions:
- System expansion
- Expand your existing Deye GB-L battery storage easily by an extra 4.09 kWh if your energy demand increases (e.g. due to an EV or heat pump).
- New systems for residential use
- Combine 2 to 6 modules to create a powerful high-voltage tower for maximum self-use of electricity.
- Commercial storage solutions
- Build larger storage capacities by connecting several battery towers in parallel for peak load capping.
Installation & safety instructions
- Required components
- Please note that at least one Battery Management System (GBL-PRO BMS) and a base plate (Base) are required for operation. The module alone is not operational.
- Stacking limits
- Observe the maximum number of modules per tower according to your Deye system’s specification (usually up to 6 modules per BMS).
- Condition of modules
- If adding modules later, the existing and new modules should be brought to a similar voltage level (SOC balancing) to enable optimal balancing by the BMS.

FAQs about the Deye GB-L-PRO4.1 Battery Module
Can I connect a single 4.09 kWh module directly to the inverter?
No.
- As it is a high-voltage system, a minimum number of modules (usually 2 or 3, depending on inverter requirements) and the required controller (BMS) are essential to reach the necessary operating voltage.
How long is the warranty for Deye battery modules?
Usually 10 years.
- Deye usually provides a performance guarantee of 10 years or a certain number of cycles for its LiFePO4 storage modules, provided installation is carried out by qualified personnel.
Can I install the module outdoors?
Yes, with conditions.
- Thanks to IP65, the module is weatherproof. However, the location should be protected from direct sunlight and severe frost to protect the cell chemistry and to optimise the efficiency of the optional heating function.
Do I have to buy additional cables when expanding?
No.
- Power and communication connections are made directly via the integrated plug connectors during stacking. Only the connection from the BMS to the inverter requires a corresponding cable set.
How heavy is a battery tower with 4 modules?
Pretty massive.
- A single module weighs around 39 kg. A tower of 4 modules plus BMS and Base is over 170 kg. Be sure to check that your floor can bear the weight.
