How much energy can actually be used per module?
A single module provides 5.12 kWh gross capacity. Of this, at a depth of discharge of 90 % (DoD), around 4.6 kWh is usable, ideal for modular storage solutions with high efficiency.
Can I expand the system later?
Yes, up to six modules are possible per tower, which corresponds to 30.72 kWh per stack. By connecting up to six towers in parallel, the system can be scaled to a total capacity of about 184 kWh without additional hardware.
Which inverters does the module work with without an additional interface box?
The module is plug-&-play compatible with three-phase Deye hybrid inverters of the SUN-xK-HP3 and SUN-xK-BM series. Communication takes place directly via CAN or RS485 without a separate communication box.
Is active cooling necessary?
No, natural convection is sufficient to ensure reliable operation. According to the manual, only an air gap of at least 20 cm behind the module must be maintained so that heat can dissipate unhindered.
Does the module need to be fully charged before initial commissioning?
Yes, an initial charge to 100 % is recommended to correctly capture the State of Charge (SoC). If this step is omitted, deviating SoC values or inaccurate state of charge indications may occur during operation.
