Why is this battery better for outdoor sensors?

Alkaline batteries are based on a water-based liquid electrolyte. At temperatures below 0 °C, this becomes sluggish or freezes, internal resistance rises, and the battery provides no power (even when full). Energizer Lithium uses a different chemistry that remains liquid and effective even at -40 °C. It is therefore indispensable for winter weather stations.

Can I put them in my DECT phones?

Caution: No! Most cordless landline phones (DECT) use rechargeable batteries (NiMH AAA). If you insert this lithium battery and put the phone on the charging cradle, the base station will try to charge the battery. This can cause overheating and destruction of the battery or the phone. Always check the label of the old cells ("Rechargeable" vs. "Lithium").

Why is the battery so light?

How do I dispose of the empty battery?
