The 3 metre Hoymiles BC05 to Schuko connection cable is the ideal "plug & play" solution for safely and quickly connecting micro inverters of the modern Hoymiles HMS series to the home network. With a length of 3 metres, it offers a little more leeway than the extremely short 2-metre version, without having to store unnecessarily long cable on the balcony as would be the case with 5 or 10 metres.

It connects the special "Field Connector" (BC05) of the inverter directly to a Schuko (Type F) socket. The high-quality, heavy rubber hose cable (H07RN-F 3G1.5) ensures maximum safety and longevity in continuous outdoor use.

Assembly & safety instructions

  • Correct fit: Press the BC05 plug firmly onto the connection on the inverter until it audibly clicks into place. This guarantees the tightness (IP68).
  • Disassembly: To disconnect the connection, you will need the Hoymiles unlocking tool ("Disconnect Tool"). Do not attempt to use a screwdriver as this may damage the plug.
  • No Betteri connection: Do not confuse this cable with the "Betteri BC01" cable for the old HM series. The plugs are mechanically incompatible.
  • Routing: Make sure that the cable is not pinched (e.g. in windows without a feed-through) and protect the Schuko plug from direct heavy rain.

FAQs about the Hoymiles BC05 cable (3m)

Will this cable fit my Deye or Bosswerk inverter?

No. Inverters from Deye, Bosswerk, or the older Hoymiles HM series use the "Betteri BC01" standard. The HMS series offered here uses the proprietary Hoymiles "BC05" standard. The plugs are not compatible.

Is the cable UV-resistant?

Yes. The jacket of the cable is made from a special rubber compound (H07RN-F), certified for permanent use under direct sunlight and weather conditions. It will not become brittle.

Can I use the cable for a 2000 watt inverter (HMS-2000)?

Yes. The cable has a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² and is rated for continuous loads of 16 amps (approx. 3680 watts). An HMS-2000 with 2000 watts peak output is well within the safety margins of this cable.
