Betteri to Schuko connection cable (3 m) - BETTTERI3M incl. AK5S-2 plug (IP65)

Description

Product information

The 3 metre Betteri BC01 to earthing contact (Schuko) connection cable is the perfect "plug & play" solution for your balcony power station if the feed-in socket is in the immediate vicinity of the system. It connects common microinverters safely and in compliance with standards directly to the domestic power grid.

Equipped with an extremely robust, UV and weather-resistant rubber cable (H07RN-F 3G1.5 mm²), this compact cable bridges short distances – for example, directly on the balcony or from the garage roof to indoors – without causing annoying cable clutter. The splash-proof Betteri connection ensures an absolutely safe and secure connection to the inverter.

Highlights at a glance

  • Compact length (3 metres): Ideal for short distances to avoid unnecessary cable loops and tripping hazards around the solar system.
  • Simple Plug & Play: Ready-made cable for immediate connection of your mini PV system to a standard household socket.
  • High compatibility: Perfect fit for microinverters with Betteri BC01 connection (e.g. Hoymiles HM series, Deye, NEP, Envertech, Bosswerk).
  • Robust industrial quality: The heavy rubber cable is mechanically extremely resilient, oil-resistant and UV-resistant for permanent outdoor use.
  • Safe protection class (IP65/IP44): The Betteri plug on the inverter is water- and dust-proof (IP65 / AK5S-2), the Schuko plug is splash-proof (IP44).

Fields of application

This compact feed-in cable is optimal for plants with short distances:

  • Balcony power stations: Perfect if the outdoor socket is installed directly next to the solar modules on the outside wall.
  • Façade plants: For a short feed-through through the wall or a special window feed-through to the nearest indoor socket.
  • Garage roofs: For direct feed-in into the existing damp-proof socket inside the garage directly under the flat roof.

Assembly & safety instructions

  • Strain relief: Lay the short cable so that it is not under mechanical tension. This protects the contacts of the Betteri plug on the microinverter.
  • Weather protection: The Betteri plug (IP65) may hang unprotected in the rain. However, the Schuko socket (IP44) should be protected from direct rain (e.g. by a roof or a hinged-cover socket).
  • Betteri end cap: If your microinverter has a second, unused Betteri connection for parallel connections, be sure to seal it off with a watertight end cap.
  • Multi-socket strips: Always connect the cable directly to a permanently installed wall socket, never use multi-socket strips indoors or outdoors for balcony power stations.

FAQs about the Betteri 3m cable

Can I extend the 3m cable later with a standard extension cable?

Yes, but with caution. For safety and efficiency reasons, it is always better to buy a continuous cable of the appropriate length (e.g. 5m or 10m). If you absolutely have to extend, use only tested Schuko extension cables for outdoor use (at least H07RN-F 3G1.5 mm² quality) and make sure that the plug connection is protected from moisture.

Is the cable suitable for permanent outdoor use in summer and winter?

Yes, absolutely. The abbreviation H07RN-F refers to a heavy-duty rubber cable (natural rubber/polychloroprene). This special rubber mixture is used in industry because it permanently withstands UV radiation, ozone, frost and heat without becoming porous.

Is this cable suitable for the Hoymiles HMS series (e.g. HMS-800W-2T)?

No. The newer HMS and HMT series from Hoymiles uses a completely different connector system (Hoymiles BC05 "Field Connector"). The Betteri BC01 cable fits mainly the older HM series (HM-600, HM-800) as well as inverters from Deye, NEP or Bosswerk.
