Beltrona LED emergency light for pendant mounting (central battery)
Description
Product information
This elegant LED emergency luminaire from Beltrona has been specially developed for pendant mounting and connection to central battery systems (CPS) and is ideal for architecturally sophisticated rooms with high ceilings. The luminaire combines a minimalist design with modern LED technology, central monitoring and optimised lenses to ensure standard-compliant yet aesthetic emergency lighting.
Highlights at a glance
- Central battery compatible: Developed for direct connection to 230V AC/DC central and group battery systems (ZB / CPS).
- Elegant pendant mounting: Ideal for installation in prestigious areas, foyers, sales rooms and halls with high ceilings.
- Centralised monitoring: Enables simple and efficient monitoring of the luminaire function via the central battery system.
- Long-life LED technology: High efficiency, long service life and minimal maintenance.
- Optimised illumination: Interchangeable lenses for escape route or anti-panic lighting as required.
Reliable illumination in demanding environments
This emergency luminaire is the ideal solution for compliant emergency lighting in a wide range of properties where both aesthetics and function play a role. The pendant mounting makes it possible to suspend the luminaire from high ceilings to the correct standardised height in order to achieve optimum light distribution. It is perfect for use in entrance halls, museums, modern office complexes, airports and retail spaces that have a centralised emergency power system.
Advanced and efficient LED technology
The centrepiece of the luminaire is a state-of-the-art LED module that ensures maximum luminous efficacy with minimum energy consumption. In combination with the specially developed lenses, the powerful LEDs guarantee that sufficient illuminance is achieved on the ground even from great heights. The long service life of the LEDs of up to 50,000 hours minimises maintenance requirements considerably.
Developed for easy installation and centralised maintenance
The luminaire is designed for quick and error-free installation by the installer. It is mounted using a sturdy pendant tube or wire suspension, and the electrical connection to the central battery system is made via an easily accessible terminal. In a centralised system, each individual luminaire is permanently monitored via the supply line. Any failure of the light source is immediately detected and signalled by the central control unit, which simplifies maintenance, especially in high-mounted areas.

FAQs about the emergency luminaire
When does pendant mounting make sense?
Pendant mounting is always used when the structural ceiling is very high (e.g. in foyers, halls) and the luminaire needs to be positioned closer to the floor in order to achieve the illuminance required by standards. It is also chosen for architectural reasons in order to integrate the luminaire as a conscious design element.
What is the advantage of a central battery system ("ZB") in high rooms?
In high and often difficult to access areas, a central battery system simplifies maintenance enormously. Instead of having to reach each individual luminaire using a lifting platform to check or replace the battery, the entire battery system is located in a central, easily accessible location. The luminaires themselves are then virtually maintenance-free.
What is the difference between escape route lighting and anti-panic lighting?
The escape route lighting uses a special lens to illuminate a long, narrow corridor and thus clearly define the course of the escape route. The anti-panic lighting uses a wide, rotationally symmetrical lens to evenly illuminate large, open areas, making orientation easier and helping to prevent panic.
Can the luminaire be operated in permanent and standby mode?
Yes. The switching mode (permanent switching/DS or standby switching/BS) for the emergency luminaire is set centrally in the emergency power system for the respective circuit and can be reprogrammed if required.
