Beltrona LED emergency light for chain mounting (central battery)
Description
Product information
This robust LED emergency light from Beltrona has been specially developed for chain or wire suspension in high spaces such as industrial and warehouse halls and for connection to central battery systems (CPS). The luminaire combines a resilient housing with a high protection rating, modern LED technology, central monitoring and optimised lenses to ensure standard-compliant safety lighting even from great heights.
Highlights at a glance
- Central battery compatible: Developed for direct connection to 230V AC/DC central and group battery systems (ZB / CPS).
- Flexible chain mounting: Ideal for installation in industrial halls, warehouses, supermarkets and other buildings with high ceilings.
- Central monitoring: Enables simple and efficient monitoring of the luminaire’s function via the central battery system.
- High protection rating: Robust housing (e.g. IP65) to protect against dust and water jets, suitable for demanding environments.
- Optimised for great heights: Powerful LEDs and special lenses for effective escape route or anti-panic lighting.
Reliable illumination in demanding environments
This emergency luminaire is the ideal solution for compliant safety lighting in spacious and high parts of buildings. Chain mounting allows the luminaire to be suspended from high ceilings or supporting structures to the correct height according to standards. It is perfect for use in manufacturing facilities, logistics centres, DIY superstores and sports halls equipped with a central emergency power system, which enables easy maintenance and monitoring of the entire installation.
Advanced and efficient LED technology
At the heart of the luminaire is a cutting-edge LED module that ensures maximum luminous efficiency with minimal energy consumption. In combination with the specially developed lenses, the powerful LEDs guarantee that, even when mounted at heights of over 10 metres, sufficient illuminance is achieved at floor level. The long lifetime of the LEDs of up to 50,000 hours significantly minimises the need for maintenance.
Developed for easy installation and central maintenance
The luminaire is designed for quick and error-free installation by the professional tradesperson. Mounting is via robust eyelets for chain suspension, and electrical connection to the central battery system is via an easily accessible terminal. In a central system, each luminaire is permanently monitored over the supply line. A failure of the light source is immediately detected and reported by the central control unit, making maintenance particularly easy for high-mounted areas.

FAQs about the emergency luminaire
When is chain mounting required?
Chain or cable mounting is used whenever the structural ceiling is very high (e.g. in industrial or warehouse halls) and the luminaire needs to be positioned closer to the floor in order to achieve the lighting level required by standards for escape routes or work areas.
What does protection rating IP65 mean?
The IP65 protection rating indicates that the luminaire is “dust-tight” (first digit 6) and protected against “water jets” from any angle (second digit 5). This makes it ideal for use in tough, damp or dusty environments such as industrial halls, workshops or covered outdoor areas.
What is the advantage of a central battery system (“ZB”) in large halls?
In large and high halls, maintaining single-battery luminaires is very elaborate because each luminaire must be reached individually. With a central battery system, all batteries are located in a single, easily accessible place. Monitoring the hard-to-reach luminaires is automatic and central, drastically reducing maintenance effort and operating costs.
Can the luminaire be operated in permanent and standby mode?
Yes. The switching type (permanent switching/DS or standby switching/BS) for the emergency luminaire is defined centrally in the emergency power system for the respective circuit and can be reprogrammed if required.
