What is the key difference to the YBX3054?

The difference lies in the mounting.

• YBX3054: Has no base strip (type N). It is screwed on with a bracket over the cover.
• YBX3056: Has a base strip (type B1). It can be clamped at the bottom of the base. If your car has a clamp at the bottom of the battery (instead of a bracket at the top), you must use the YBX3056.

Does the battery have thick or thin terminals?

The YBX3056 is often technically manufactured with thin terminals (T3), but is usually supplied or used with plug-on adapters for thick standard terminals (T1). This makes it more universally applicable. When installing, check whether you need the adapters or whether the clamps fit directly onto the thin terminals.

Will this battery fit my Hyundai i10 or Kia Picanto?

Many of these vehicles use the B19 size (approx. 19 cm long). The decisive factor is the mounting. Look in the engine compartment: Is the battery clamped at the bottom? Then the YBX3056 (with base strip) is the right choice. Is it held from above? Then the YBX3054 (without base strip) is more likely to fit, although the YBX3056 often also fits (the strip usually does not interfere).

Is the battery suitable for Start-Stop?

No. The YBX3056 is a classic starter battery. For vehicles with start-stop system, you need an EFB battery in the right size (unfortunately, there are hardly any EFB alternatives in the rare size B19+base strip, so you often have to check carefully).
