What is the difference to the YBX3068?

The only difference is the terminal arrangement.

• YBX3069: Positive terminal left (Layout 1).
• YBX3068: Positive terminal right (Layout 0). Please look under the bonnet: Is the red positive cable on the left side of the battery? Then the YBX3069 is the right choice.

Will this battery fit if my old one was called "069"?

Yes. "069" is the standard UK code for this battery type (D26 case with positive terminal left). The YBX3069 is the direct replacement and fits both mechanically and electrically perfectly.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX3069 is a maintenance-free lead-acid battery. It is not designed for the high loads of start-stop systems. If your vehicle has start-stop, you definitely need an EFB battery (e.g. Yuasa YBX7000 series) or AGM battery.

Why is the battery higher than my old Varta/Bosch (175mm)?

If your old battery was only 175 mm or 190 mm high, you probably had a European DIN battery. The YBX3069 is an Asian JIS battery with a height of 225 mm. It is only suitable for vehicles that are factory-fitted for these high batteries with top-post terminals (usually Japanese/Korean).
