What is the difference compared to the YBX3069? 

The difference is in the pole arrangement.

• YBX3068: Pole arrangement 0 (positive terminal right).
• YBX3069: Pole arrangement 1 (positive terminal left). Both batteries have the same dimensions (JIS D26). Please check on which side the red positive cable is in your vehicle before purchasing.

Will this battery fit my VW Golf or Opel Astra?

 As a rule of thumb no. The YBX3068 is a battery to the Asian JIS standard.

• It is significantly higher at 225 mm than standard European batteries (175 mm or 190 mm).
• The terminals project above the case (overhanging), whereas with European batteries (DIN) they are recessed ("Kamina" lid). This battery is mainly for brands such as Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi or Hyundai.

Is the battery suitable for Start-Stop?

No. The YBX3068 is a maintenance-free lead-acid battery (SMF). It is not designed for vehicles with Start-Stop automatic systems. For such vehicles you need an EFB battery (e.g. Yuasa YBX7000 series) or an AGM battery (YBX9000 series), depending on the manufacturer's instructions.
