Batterytester 6V - 48V - Precise monitoring

Description

Product information

This versatile battery tester is the ideal diagnostic device for all users who work with a wide range of battery systems. With an extremely wide measuring range from 6V to 48V, it covers everything – from motorbikes, cars and lorries to electric scooters, golf caddies and solar storage systems. The device allows you to check battery voltage and state of charge in seconds, so you can immediately identify defective or discharged batteries and prevent failures.

Highlights at a glance

  • Extreme voltage range: Usable for 6V, 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V batteries without manual switching.
  • Precise status display: Reliably informs you about the current voltage and the estimated state of charge (SoC) of the battery.
  • No separate battery required: The device supplies itself directly from the battery to be tested ("Powered by Test Object").
  • High safety: Equipped with reverse polarity and overvoltage protection for safe application.
  • Easy to use: Connecting the pole clamps is sufficient – the result is displayed immediately on the screen or via LEDs.
  • Robust design: Shock-resistant housing, ideal for daily use in workshops, garages or mobile service.

Versatile diagnostics for all battery types

Whether you want to check a small 6V vintage battery, a classic 12V car battery or a 48V drive battery from a forklift – this tester detects the applied voltage. It is optimised for all common lead technologies (standard lead-acid, gel, AGM). By regular monitoring, you can avoid deep discharges and significantly extend the lifetime of your batteries.

Ideal for automotive, marine and industry

Thanks to the support of voltages up to 48V, this device is particularly valuable for users of e-mobility (e-scooters, rehab tech) and renewable energy (off-grid solar systems). It belongs in every toolbox to quickly rule out whether the battery is the cause of a starting problem or system failure in case of malfunction.

FAQs about the battery tester 6V - 48V

Do I need to set the device to measure 12V or 24V?

No, high-quality testers in this segment feature an "auto-sensing" function. Simply connect the device; it detects the voltage range automatically and displays the corresponding result.

Can I also use it to test lithium batteries?

That depends on the specific model. Most simple testers are based on the voltage curves of lead-acid batteries. As lithium batteries (LiFePO4 or Li-Ion) have a flatter discharge curve, the percentage display may be inaccurate, but the pure voltage display is correct and usable.

Does the tester put a heavy load on the battery?

No, pure voltage and capacity testers mostly measure with high impedance and only draw a minimal current from the battery for display operation. They do not simulate a cold start current (like large load testers), but serve for quick status evaluation.

Is the device waterproof?

As a rule, these testers are splash-proof (e.g. for use under the bonnet), but not waterproof. They should not be left out in heavy rain or submerged in water.
