Trojan T-125 UT Deep-Cycle lead-acid battery 6V 240Ah

Description

Product information

The Trojan T-125 is a powerful 6-volt wet-cell battery and an advancement of the legendary T-105 model, developed for even more demanding deep-cycle applications. As part of the Trojan Signature Line, it has been specifically designed for maximum cycle durability and an exceptionally long lifespan under tough, daily use. With its increased capacity of 240 Ah and flexible universal terminal, it is the ideal and most reliable power source for golf carts, aerial work platforms, and solar installations with increased energy demands.

Highlights at a glance

  • Increased capacity: With 240 Ah, it delivers more endurance and longer operating times than the industry standard T-105.
  • Maximum cycle durability: Designed for repeated, deep discharge and charge cycles in the toughest commercial applications.
  • Robust Trojan construction: Advanced T2 Technology® design with DuraGrid™ grid technology for longer service life and greater efficiency.
  • Versatile universal terminal: Combines a threaded post with a tapered post for maximum connection flexibility.
  • Low maintenance: Only requires regular checks of the water level to ensure maximum service life.

Unrivalled performance for demanding applications

The Trojan T-125 is the first choice for commercial and industrial applications that require longer runtimes. Its main area of use is powering golf cart fleets, electric lifting and work platforms, industrial floor cleaners, as well as autonomous solar energy systems. Wherever machines need to operate reliably for many hours every day, this battery provides the crucial energy reserve.

Superior deep-cycle technology

Trojan batteries have set the standard for true deep-cycle performance for decades. The exclusive T2 Technology® with Alpha Plus® paste formulation ensures maximum electrochemical efficiency and slows down the ageing process of the active mass. The DuraGrid™ grid architecture provides superior corrosion resistance and improved current conductivity, resulting in higher overall performance and longer battery life.

Built for longevity and efficiency

The design of the T-125 is aimed at maximum robustness and easy maintenance. The impact-resistant polypropylene case withstands the rigours of daily use. The low-maintenance concept only requires regular checks and, if necessary, topping up with distilled water to maintain the battery's full capacity and service life for many years. This makes it an extremely economical solution for professional fleet operators.

FAQs about the Trojan T-125 Deep-Cycle Battery

What does "deep cycle" mean?

"Deep cycle" means that the battery is designed to regularly deliver a large portion (up to 80%) of its stored energy and then be fully recharged, without quickly losing capacity. This is essential for supply applications, as opposed to starter batteries.

What is the advantage of the "Universal Terminal" (UT)?

The Universal Terminal is a versatile dual terminal. It combines a standard automotive tapered post (SAE post), onto which terminal clamps can be fitted, with a threaded stud for secure connection of ring terminals. This provides maximum flexibility for different applications and wiring types.

What does "low maintenance" mean?

As a low-maintenance wet-cell battery, the fluid level (electrolyte) in the cells must be checked regularly and, if necessary, topped up with distilled water only. Proper maintenance is essential to achieve maximum lifespan. For larger systems, automatic water refill systems are available as an option.

How are multiple batteries connected to form a system?

For common 36V or 48V systems in golf carts or work platforms, several of these 6V batteries are connected in series (e.g. six batteries for 36V). It is essential that only batteries of the same type, age, and condition are connected together to ensure an even load.

How should this lead-acid battery be disposed of?

Lead-acid batteries contain environmentally harmful substances and must not be disposed of with household waste. You can return your old battery free of charge to any dealer who sells new batteries or to municipal recycling centres to ensure proper recycling.
