My old battery has a different colour. Will this black battery fit?

Yes, in most cases.

The original batteries sometimes vary in colour or branding (Schwing vs. Teletec). The decisive factors are the design and the part number (e.g. 10191556). If your old battery looks mechanically identical and has 7.2V, this replacement battery will fit.

Do I need a special charger?

No.

The battery is designed to be charged with the original Schwing or Teletec charging stations. The charging electronics detect the NiMH battery and charge it reliably.

Is this battery also available with Li-Ion technology?

Caution.

There are conversions or newer versions, but the standard AK2 systems are designed for NiMH (formerly NiCd). A Li-Ion battery necessarily requires a different charger. Stick to NiMH if your charger and transmitter are designed for it, to avoid damage.
