My old battery only had 1.4 Ah. Can I use this one with 2.2 Ah?

A higher capacity (milliamp hours/mAh) is like a bigger fuel tank in your car. The battery just lasts longer before it is empty. The voltage (14.4V) stays the same, so there is no risk for your device.

Do I need a new charger?

Mostly not.

If you have an original Bosch charger (e.g. AL 1411 DV, AL 60 DV) suitable for NiMH (often indicated on the back: "NiCd / NiMH"), you can continue to use it. Only very old chargers that are exclusively built for NiCd should be replaced as they might not fully charge or may overheat NiMH batteries.

How should I best store this battery?

Cool and charged.

NiMH batteries have a certain amount of self-discharge. If you do not use the screwdriver for months, fully charge the battery beforehand. Do not store it in the device to avoid deep discharge due to leakage currents.
