Is the CORE battery included?

No, this standard "TIKKA" model comes with three AAA batteries. The PETZL CORE battery is available separately and allows rechargeable operation of the lamp.

What is the red light used for?

The red light helps preserve your eyes’ dark adaptation. It produces less glare for others in a group and is ideal for use at campsites, in huts, or during night-time jobs where night vision must be preserved.
