The Flexible HYBRID CONCEPT

At the centre of the TIKKA CORE is PETZL’s innovative HYBRID CONCEPT. This headlamp is supplied complete with the PETZL CORE lithium-ion battery. This battery is simply charged via the integrated Micro-USB port and provides an economical and sustainable power solution for frequent use. Should the battery be empty and no charging option available, you can also use three standard AAA batteries as an alternative power source.

Intuitive use and practical design

The TIKKA CORE is operated via a single, ergonomic switch. A LOCK function prevents unintentional activation during transport. The headband is reflective to increase visibility in the dark and can be easily removed for cleaning.

What is the difference between the TIKKA and the TIKKA CORE?

The main difference is in the scope of delivery. The "TIKKA CORE" model (this model) comes with the rechargeable PETZL CORE battery. The standard "TIKKA" model is supplied with three AAA batteries, but can be upgraded with the CORE battery.

Can I still use normal batteries?

Yes. Thanks to the HYBRID CONCEPT, you can remove the supplied CORE battery and instead use three standard AAA/LR03 batteries to operate the lamp. This offers maximum flexibility when no charging option is available.

What is the red light used for?

The red light is used to preserve the eye’s dark adaptation. It is less dazzling for other people in a group and is ideal for use in campsites, mountain huts or for night work requiring maintained night vision.

What does the protection rating IPX4 mean?

IPX4 means the headlamp is protected against splashing water from all directions. It can be used in the rain or in damp environments without any problems, but is not suitable for immersion in water (diving).
