The flexible HYBRID CONCEPT

At the heart of the TIKKA CORE is PETZL's innovative HYBRID CONCEPT. This headlamp already comes with the PETZL CORE lithium-ion battery. This battery is simply charged via the integrated micro USB port and offers an economical and sustainable energy solution for frequent use. If the battery is empty and there is no charging option, you can alternatively operate the lamp with three standard AAA batteries.

Intuitive operation and practical design

The TIKKA CORE is operated by a single, ergonomic switch. A LOCK function (lock function) prevents the lamp from being switched on unintentionally during transport. The headband is reflective to increase visibility in the dark and can be easily removed for cleaning.

What is the difference between the TIKKA and the TIKKA CORE?

The main difference is the scope of delivery. The "TIKKA CORE" model (this model) already comes with the rechargeable PETZL CORE battery. The standard "TIKKA" model comes with three AAA batteries but can be retrofitted with the CORE battery.

Can I still use normal batteries?

Yes. Thanks to the HYBRID CONCEPT, you can remove the supplied CORE battery and operate the lamp instead with three standard AAA/LR03 batteries. This offers maximum flexibility when no charging option is available.

What is the red light for?

The red light is used to maintain the eye’s dark adaptation. It dazzles other people in a group less and is ideal for use in camps, in huts or for night work where night vision must be maintained.

What does the IPX4 protection rating mean?

IPX4 means that the headlamp is protected against splashing water from all directions. It can be used in the rain or in moist environments without any problems, but it is not suitable for immersion in water (diving).
