Is this battery suitable for long-haul trucks with overnight stays?

The YBX1000 Series is designed for basic requirements. If you have a truck in which the driver regularly sleeps and uses "hotel consumers" such as parking air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave and TV, Yuasa strongly recommends the YBX3000 or YBX5000 Series. These are specifically designed for deep discharges (high cycle life). The YBX1629 may wear out more quickly under such loads.

What is the difference to the YBX1612 (143Ah)?

In addition to the capacity, the width is crucial.

• YBX1612 (143Ah): Approx. 189 mm wide (Type A / narrow).
• YBX1629 (180Ah): Approx. 223 mm wide (Type B / wide). The lengths are the same. Please check if your battery box is wide enough for the YBX1629. Most heavy trucks (from 18t) require the wide Type B.

Where are the terminals located?

With this battery size, the terminals are located on the short side (narrow side) of the battery. Terminal arrangement 3 generally means that the positive terminal is on the left (when looking at the narrow side with the terminals).
