Yuasa Truck battery YBX3627 12V 143Ah 900A (YBX3000 SHD series)

Description

Product information

The Yuasa YBX3627 is an extremely robust 12V commercial vehicle battery from the YBX3000 SHD series (Super Heavy Duty). With a capacity of 143 Ah and a powerful cold start current of 900 A (EN), it is specifically designed for lorries, buses, agricultural machinery and construction vehicles with normal to increased energy requirements. Thanks to its robust hybrid technology and glass fibre separators, it offers significantly higher vibration resistance than standard batteries (V2), making it ideal for tough work environments.

Highlights at a glance

  • SHD technology: Super Heavy Duty design for improved cycle resistance and lifespan compared to conventional HD batteries.
  • High vibration resistance: Meets the V2 vibration standard, ideal for vehicles operating on uneven ground or construction sites.
  • Powerful: 900 A cold start current ensures reliable starts of large diesel engines even at extreme temperatures.
  • OEM quality: Developed in accordance with the strict standards of vehicle manufacturers for compatibility and reliability.
  • Low maintenance: Thanks to state-of-the-art plate technology, water consumption is minimised; plugs permit maintenance if required.
  • Versatile: Suitable for a wide range of commercial vehicles, from light lorries and tractors to large construction machinery (case type MAC 110).

The professional for commercial vehicles

The YBX3627 is a real workhorse. It covers the popular “140” battery segment (type A / MAC 110 housing) and is therefore compatible with many models from brands such as MAN, Mercedes-Benz (lorry / Unimog), DAF, Volvo Trucks or agricultural machines from John Deere and Case. Thanks to the SHD specification, it offers more reserves for vehicles with tail lifts or simple sleeper cab fittings than a standard starter battery.

FAQs about the Yuasa YBX3627

What does SHD mean?

SHD stands for "Super Heavy Duty". Such batteries are built more robustly than standard commercial vehicle batteries (HD). They have thicker plates and glass fibre separators, which make them more resistant to vibration and cyclical stress (frequent charging/discharging).

Will this battery fit my lorry/tractor?

The YBX3627 has the dimensions 513 x 189 x 223 mm. This is a very common size for medium-sized lorries and large tractors. It is important to check the terminal arrangement (layout 3, terminals on the short side) and the mounting, as this battery has no base strip and is usually held by a frame or bracket.

Is the battery maintenance-free?

The YBX3000 SHD series is considered low maintenance. Under normal operation, there is no need to top up with water. Unlike car SMF batteries, however, it is often equipped with plugs that allow monitoring and topping up with distilled water under extreme operating conditions (high heat, very high charging voltage) to extend service life.

How is the battery secured?

This battery has the base strip "N", i.e. no protruding strips at the base. It is generally secured using a metal frame that holds the battery from above, or with special brackets on the vehicle that enclose the case.
