What is the difference to the YBX5054?
The main difference lies in the performance and slightly in the dimensions. The YBX5056 offers a cold start current of 360 A, which is slightly higher than the YBX5054 (340 A). In addition, the width of the YBX5056 is often given as 137 mm, while the YBX5054 is about 127 mm wide. Both, however, use similar JIS formats. If you have a little more space and require more starting power, the YBX5056 is the upgrade.
Which terminals does this battery have?
These batteries are usually used with thin poles (T3) in Asia. However, many shipments of the YBX5056 include adapter sleeves for standard terminals (T1), or are already equipped with them. Please check before installation whether your vehicle clamps are thick (standard) or thin (Japan-standard).
Is the battery suitable for start-stop?
No. The YBX5056 is a conventional starter battery. For vehicles with start-stop automatic (ISG), you definitely need an AGM or EFB battery, as this cycling load would quickly destroy a normal battery.
How do I recognise the pole arrangement?
The positive terminal is on the right side (pole arrangement 0) when the battery is facing you. This is the standard for most European and many Asian vehicles in this class.Properties
