What is the difference to YBX3068?

The YBX5068 ("Silver Series") is the more powerful version of the YBX3068 ("Black Series"). It offers more starting power (650 A vs. standard) and is designed for more charge cycles (approx. 50,000 starts). If you intend to use your vehicle long-term or have many consumers, the YBX5068 is the recommended upgrade.

Does the battery fit if my old one is shorter?

Caution: There is also the D23 format (approx. 23 cm long) in the Asian market. The YBX5068 has the D26 format (approx. 26 cm long). If your battery box is too short, it will not fit. Please measure the length of your old battery.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX5068 is a conventional starter battery. Vehicles (e.g. Mazda Skyactiv i-Stop) with start-stop systems require an EFB battery (e.g. YBX7000 Series for JIS sizes), as these are more cycle-resistant.

Why is the battery so high (225 mm)?

This is typical for Asian batteries (JIS standard). The terminals project from the lid of the case ("Asia Type"). European batteries are generally flatter (190 mm) with recessed terminals. You should not mix these types as the connections or fixing may otherwise not fit.
