It is technically identical to the YBX5068, but has a reverse pole arrangement (positive terminal left). What is the difference to YBX5068?

The YBX5069 and YBX5068 are technically equally strong (75Ah, 650A) and the same size. The only difference is the pole arrangement: The YBX5069 has the positive terminal on the left (layout 1), the YBX5068 has the positive terminal on the right (layout 0). Since the vehicle cables are usually very short, only the correct version fits.

Will this battery fit my car?

If your old battery is approx. 26 cm long, 17 cm wide and 22.5 cm high (JIS D26 format) and the positive terminal is on the left, the YBX5069 is the right premium upgrade.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX5069 is a conventional starter battery. Vehicles with a start-stop system require an EFB battery (e.g. from the YBX7000 Series) as these are much more cycle-resistant.

Why does my old battery say "80D26R"?

That is the JIS code (Japanese Industrial Standard). "80" stands for the power class, "D" for the case shape (width/height), "26" for the length in cm and "R" for "Right" (which in the JIS system often means that the positive terminal is on the right in a certain view - in the European DIN system this corresponds to circuitry 1 / positive left). The YBX5069 replaces these types.
