What is the difference to the YBX3627?

The YBX3627 is a solid mid-range SHD battery (often with plugs for maintenance). The YBX5627 is the premium model ("Silver Series"). It features XVR (extreme vibration resistance V4 instead of V2) and a sealed SMF cover (maintenance-free, no plugs). If your vehicle is exposed to strong vibrations, the additional price for the YBX5627 is definitely worth it to avoid failures.

What does XVR mean and why do I need it?

XVR stands for "Extreme Vibration Resistance". Modern lorries often place batteries at the very back of the frame (end-of-frame) to make room for AdBlue tanks and exhaust systems. The vibrations there are so strong that normal batteries can break mechanically. The YBX5627 is structurally reinforced so that it can withstand these loads permanently.

For which vehicles is this size suitable?

The dimensions 513 x 189 x 223 mm (MAC 110) are standard for many medium to heavy-duty lorries, tractors and buses. It fits models from MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, DAF, Scania, Iveco as well as agricultural machinery from John Deere, Claas or Fendt that require a battery from the 135-145 Ah class.

Do I need to top up with water?

No, never. The YBX5627 is an SMF battery (Sealed Maintenance Free). The lid is tightly sealed and, thanks to recombination technology, water consumption is so low that the battery is maintenance-free throughout its entire service life.

Can I use this battery for the tail lift?

Yes, thanks to the SHD (Super Heavy Duty) specification and good cycle stability, it is also well suited for operating hydraulic tail lifts in distribution transport.
