What does XVR mean?

XVR stands for "Extreme Vibration Resistance". Truck batteries mounted at the rear of the chassis (end-of-frame) are subjected to extreme shocks. Normal batteries can fail mechanically here (plate breakage). The YBX5625 is specially reinforced and tested to permanently withstand these stresses (V4 standard).

Is this battery suitable for "hotel functions"?

Yes, absolutely. That is its main field of application. "Hotel functions" refers to the use of electricity in the cab when the engine is switched off (overnight stay). The high capacity of 230 Ah and high cycle stability ensure that refrigerator and auxiliary heater can run all night without jeopardising the start the next morning.

How heavy is the battery?

The YBX5625 weighs almost 60 kg. Replacement should definitely be carried out by two people or with technical lifting aids to avoid injury.

Can I use this battery instead of a 180Ah or 225Ah battery?

Yes, as long as the battery box accommodates the dimensions (approx. 518 x 276 mm). Upgrading to 230 Ah makes a lot of sense if you need more reserves for stationary use. The YBX5625 replaces common types such as the 62512 or 63014.
