What is the difference to the YBX5625?

The YBX5625 is a very good SHD battery (Super Heavy Duty). The YBX7625 is the EFB version (Enhanced Flooded Battery). The decisive advantage of the YBX7625 is the acid circulation and the significantly higher cycle stability. If you often sleep in the lorry and use many devices (coffee machine, TV, laptop), the YBX7625 lasts significantly longer than the YBX5625.

What does the acid circulation do?

In normal lorry batteries, the heavy acid settles at the bottom over time, leaving water at the top ("acid stratification"). This leads to corrosion at the bottom and loss of performance at the top. The YBX7625 utilises the movement of the vehicle to constantly circulate the acid by means of special mixing elements. This keeps the performance constantly high and prevents premature wear.

Is the battery suitable for rear mounting?

Yes, without restrictions. It has the XVR technology (Extreme Vibration Resistance) of the V4 class. It is specially reinforced to withstand the heavy impacts at the end-of-frame.

Is it worth the extra cost for an EFB battery in a lorry?
