Crane replacement battery for Hetronic / "HTC" (3.6V NiMH) - Replaces 68300900 / 68300600
Description
Product information
This is the special 3.6 volt NiMH battery for radio remote controls of the brand Hetronic (often abbreviated as HTC).
Attention, important difference: While many Hetronic transmitters (such as Nova-L or Nova-S) run on 9.6 volts, certain series (such as Ergo or special Mini variants) require this 3.6 volt battery. It replaces the original numbers 68300600, 68300900 as well as 68300800. With a capacity of mostly 2,000 mAh (2.0 Ah), it offers significantly more power than the older standard batteries.
Highlights at a glance
- Specific 3.6V voltage: This battery is not compatible with the 9.6V systems. It is designed for transmitters that operate at a lower voltage (e.g. hand-held transmitters from the Ergo series).
- High capacity (2.0 Ah): Modern NiMH cells enable a capacity of approx. 2000 mAh. This ensures very long operating times, often several days with normal use, as 3.6V transmitters usually consume less current.
- Replaces Hetronic 68300xxx: Fully compatible with part numbers 68300900 (standard NiMH), 68300600 and 68300800.
- Modern NiMH technology: No memory effect. You can charge the battery at any time. It is the environmentally friendly replacement for older NiCd versions.
- Compact design: The battery is usually black and rectangular, a little flatter than the 9.6 V blocks, and has specific contacts for the 3.6 V slot.
Compatible transmitters (extract)
This battery fits mechanically and electrically in the following Hetronic systems (please check the type plate!):
- Hetronic Ergo: Ergo, Ergo-F, Ergo-M (transmitter in "banana shape" or hand-held transmitter).
- Hetronic Mini (3.6V): Only for versions that explicitly use 3.6V (many Minis use 9.6V!).
- Hetronic Nova (3.6V): Special versions.

FAQs about the Hetronic 3.6V battery (68300900)
My "Mini" transmitter previously had a 9.6V battery (square). Does this one fit?
No, absolutely not! This is the most common confusion with Hetronic.
- 9.6V battery (68300520): Is square, thicker.
- 3.6V battery (This item): Is often flatter or differently shaped. The part numbers 68300600 and 68300900 clearly indicate 3.6 volt. If you were to put this battery into a 9.6V device (if it fits mechanically), the device would not start (undervoltage).
What does "HTC" mean?
In the construction industry Hetronic is often mistakenly abbreviated as "HTC" or confused with the mobile phone manufacturer/HBC. The numbers 683... confirm beyond doubt that it is a Hetronic battery.
Can I use my old charger?
Yes. Hetronic chargers usually recognise the battery type. Make sure that the contacts are clean. Since this battery is NiMH, the charger should be NiMH-compatible (which almost all Hetronic chargers from the last 15 years are).Properties
