Crane replacement battery for HBC Radiomatic FuB 10AA / BA214060 (6V NiMH, 2000 mAh)
Description
Product information
This powerful NiMH battery is the replacement for the large supply blocks of the HBC Radiomatic large transmitters (e.g. Spectrum series). It is known under the designations FuB 10AA, FuB 10XL or FuB 78AA and replaces the original batteries of the BA21xxxx series.
With a voltage of 6 volts and a capacity of 2,000 mAh (2.0 Ah), this battery provides reliable energy for long work shifts. The designation "2x6V" often refers to the internal cell arrangement or contact configuration (4 contacts), the voltage for operation is 6V.
Highlights at a glance
- Wide compatibility (FuB 10 / FuB 78): This battery replaces the original types BA214060, BA214061, BA213020, BA211060 and BA210040. It is also compatible with the HBC designations FuB 10AA, FuB 10XL, FuB 78AA as well as the PM numbers PM458017 and PM471560.
- High capacity (2.0 Ah): As a FuB 10XL variant, it offers 2000 mAh. This is a noticeable upgrade compared to old NiCd batteries (FuB 10A) which often only had 1400 mAh.
- Modern NiMH technology: No more memory effect. The battery can be charged at any time and is more environmentally friendly than the old cadmium versions.
- Robust design: This is the large, black (or orange) block battery designed for rugged construction site use in the large tray transmitters.
- 4-contact system: The battery typically has 4 contacts on the bottom (2 for charging, 2 for operation or redundant design), which often leads to the designation "2x6V".
Compatible transmitter series (excerpt)
This battery type is mainly used in the large "tray" controls:
- Spectrum series: Spectrum 1, Spectrum 2, Spectrum 3 (certain versions)
- Patrol series: patrol D
- Vector series: vector pro
- Other: various models for construction cranes, concrete pumps and forestry winches that use the large BA21 compartment.

FAQs for the HBC FuB 10AA / BA214060
What is the difference to FuB 05AA or FuB 3A?
The size.
- FuB 05AA: Small block (3.6V).
- FuB 3A (BA203060): Flatter 6V block (mostly orange).
- FuB 10AA (this battery): Thicker, large 6V block (usually black or orange) with 4 contacts. Please check the dimensions and BA number of your old battery.
What does "2x6V" mean?
This is a technical specification of the internal wiring or contact configuration (redundancy). For the user this means: It is a 6 volt battery. If your device needs 6V and has the large compartment, this is the right battery.
Can I charge this battery with my old HBC charger?
Yes. The original HBC charging cradles (for the FuB 10 type) charge both the old NiCd and the new NiMH versions. The charging electronics detect the battery.
