Crane replacement battery for HBC Radiomatic (BA203060 / BA222060) - 6V NiMH
Description
Product information
This NiMH high-performance battery is the perfect replacement for the distinctive orange battery blocks of the HBC Radiomatic radio remote controls. It replaces the obsolete NiCd batteries (type BA222060) and the standard NiMH batteries (type BA203060). With a rated voltage of 6.0 Volt and an increased capacity of often 2,000 mAh to 2,100 mAh (instead of often only 1,500 mAh in the past), this battery ensures that your construction crane or concrete pump remains reliably controllable even during long shifts.
Highlights at a glance
- Powerful upgrade: The modern cells offer up to 30% more runtime than the old standard batteries. This minimises work interruptions for battery changes.
- Full compatibility: Replaces the HBC original numbers identically BA222060, BA203060, BA203061 and FuB 3A, FuB 03A and PM 471560.
- Modern NiMH technology: The battery does not suffer from the memory effect of the old NiCd generation. It is more environmentally friendly (cadmium-free) and can be recharged flexibly.
- Robust housing: The housing (usually in the typical HBC orange or black colour) is shock-resistant and designed for harsh construction site use and temperature fluctuations.
- Suitable for your charger: The battery is fully compatible with the original HBC chargers (e.g. QE10860, QA10860 or the intelligent chargers of the IL series), provided they support 6V NiMH.
Compatible transmitter series (extract)
This battery pack fits a large number of the well-known "large" HBC transmitters:
- Spectrum series: Spectrum 1, Spectrum 2, Spectrum 3, Spectrum A/B
- Micron series: micron 5, micron 7
- Eco series: eco
- Technos series: technos 2
- Linus series: linus 4, linus 6
- Other: quadrix, keynote, patrol, vector, cubix (please check voltage!)

FAQs about the HBC BA203060 / BA222060
Can I replace the old NiCd battery (BA222060) with this NiMH battery?
Yes, absolutely. HBC has largely discontinued the production of NiCd. This NiMH battery is the official successor. It fits perfectly mechanically and offers more power. Your transmitter will work perfectly with it.
Does my old charger recognise the new battery?
Yes in 95% of cases. HBC chargers (the large black cubes or the plates in the control cabinet) are usually designed for NiCd and NiMH. Make sure that the charge indicator light switches correctly (charge -> full). As the new battery has more capacity, charging takes a little longer than with the old one.
What is the difference to the small BA225030?
Attention: There is a very similar looking battery (BA225030 / BA225000), but it is smaller and has only 3.6 Volt (3 cells). The battery described here BA203060 has 6.0 Volt (5 cells) and is larger. If in doubt, count the contacts or look at the type plate in the battery compartment.
