Crane replacement battery for HBC Radiomatic 6V (NiMH, 1500 mAh) - Replaces BA206030 / FuB 05XL
Description
Product information
This NiMH battery is a specific replacement for the 6-volt systems from HBC Radiomatic, which are often used in more compact handheld transmitters (such as quadrix, keynote or vector) are used. Although it outwardly looks very similar to the widely used 3.6V batteries (FuB 05A), this pack provides 6.0 Volt.
It replaces the original HBC batteries with the designations BA206000, BA206030, BA226030 as well as the types FuB 05XL, FuB 05N and the part number PM237745002. With 1,500 mAh (1.5 Ah) it offers reliable performance for everyday work use.
Highlights at a glance
- Attention: 6 Volt version! This battery is specially for HBC devices that 6V operating voltage require. It is the more powerful counterpart to the visually almost identical 3.6V batteries (FuB 05AA).
- NiMH technology: Thanks to nickel-metal hydride cells there is no memory effect. You can charge the battery at any time. It also replaces old NiCd batteries (BA225000/BA226030) if the device can handle 6V.
- Compact design: Despite the higher voltage (5 cells inside instead of 3) the battery retains its compact format to fit into the corresponding radio transmitters.
- Compatible designations: The battery is often listed in the market under various numbers, including FuB 05XL (XL often stands for the higher voltage/performance in the small casing), FuB 05N or PM237745002.
Important note on voltage (3.6V vs. 6V)
Your enquiry also includes numbers for 3.6V batteries (BA205000, BA205030, FuB 05AA). Please be sure to check your device:
- FuB 05AA / BA205xxx: These are 3.6 Volt batteries.
- FuB 05XL / BA206xxx: These are 6.0 Volt batteries (this article). Use this 6V battery only if your old battery also had 6V or the type plate on the transmitter indicates 6V. Using 6V in a 3.6V device can damage the electronics!

FAQs on the HBC 6V FuB 05XL
My old battery has the number BA205030 (3.6V). Can I use this 6V battery?
No, absolutely not. Even if both batteries look mechanically similar, the double voltage (6V instead of 3.6V) would probably destroy your transmitter. If you had BA205..., you absolutely need the 3.6V version.
For which transmitters is this 6V battery intended?
It is often found in newer or more powerful versions of the series quadrix, keynote, vector or special micron versions. What is always decisive is the type plate on the transmitter.
What does 1.5 Ah mean?
This stands for 1,500 milliampere hours. This is a solid standard capacity for 6V packs of this size. There are variants with up to 700 mAh (old, NiCd) or up to 2100 mAh (high-end NiMH). With 1.5 Ah you are in the good mid-range and have enough energy for a normal working day.
