Charger suitable for Palfinger - Reliable power supply for your radio remote control
Description
Product information
This high-quality replacement charger is the ideal solution for quickly and gently recharging the batteries of your Palfinger crane remote controls. It is precisely adapted to the widely used 7.2 Volt Ni-MH and Ni-Cd battery packs that are used in most Palfinger and Scanreco controls (such as RC400, 590, 960 or EEA2512).
Designed for the tough everyday working conditions of crane operators, this charger often offers dual power supply: it can be operated from both the regular 230V socket in the office or workshop, as well as via a 12V/24V vehicle adapter directly in the lorry. The intelligent microprocessor-controlled charging electronics (Delta-U cut-off) prevent overcharging of the batteries and significantly maximise their service life.
Highlights at a glance
- 100% Compatible: Perfect fit for the standard 7.2V batteries of Palfinger and Scanreco radio remote controls (crane controls).
- Intelligent charging electronics: Microprocessor-controlled charging cut-off (Delta-U) protects the battery from harmful overcharging and heat build-up.
- Flexible power supply: Thanks to the included power supply (100-240V) and vehicle charging cable (12V/24V) you can easily charge at home, in the workshop, or directly in the lorry cab.
- Clear status display: A clearly legible LED display reliably informs you of the current charging status (e.g. red for charging, green for full).
- Quickly ready for use: With an adapted charging current, your empty radio battery is quickly charged again, so that crane downtimes are minimised.
- Robust construction: The charging cradle is made of impact-resistant plastic and easily withstands vibrations in the vehicle.
Areas of Application
This charger is the most important accessory for operators of heavy machinery:
- Loader cranes: For the remote controls of Palfinger loader cranes on lorries.
- Forestry: For timber forwarding cranes and harvesters equipped with Scanreco radio technology.
- Construction machinery: For powering the control units of concrete pumps or aerial work platforms with compatible 7.2V battery systems.
Assembly & Safety Instructions
- Maintain contacts: The working environment on construction sites is often dusty. Wipe the gold contacts on the charging cradle and the battery regularly with a dry cloth to avoid charging problems due to contact resistance.
- Vehicle operation: If you use the charger permanently in the lorry, make sure it is securely fixed and does not fly through the cab in the event of an emergency stop.
- Temperature: Do not charge the batteries in the blazing sun behind the windscreen. Extreme heat damages the cells during charging.
- End of charging: Even though the device has automatic disconnection, it is advisable to remove the battery from the cradle after full charge (green LED) if it is not required for a long time.

FAQs about the Palfinger charger
Does this charger fit my Palfinger EEA2512 battery?
Yes, absolutely. The battery type EEA2512 (as well as models 590, 960, 790 and RC400) is the standard battery in this radio control series. This charger is exactly designed for the shape and 7.2 volt voltage of these Ni-MH batteries.
My old battery is still a Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium) type. Will it also be charged?
Yes. The charging electronics are backwards compatible and reliably recognise the voltage curve. You can use this charger to charge both older Ni-Cd batteries and the newer and more environmentally friendly Ni-MH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) batteries.
How long does a complete charging process take?
This depends on the capacity (Ah) of your battery. A typical replacement battery, for example with 2000 mAh (2.0 Ah), generally requires approx. 2 to 3 hours with this quick charger to become fully recharged.
