  • Automatic self-test function: Reduces maintenance effort and increases operational safety through regular, independent function tests.
  • Flexible use: Includes 4 standard pictograms (arrow left/right/down and a blank pictogram).
  • Versatile mounting: Suitable for easy wall and ceiling installation.

Reliability and safety in accordance with standards

The Beltrona X8-30LFP was developed to meet the strict European safety requirements for emergency lighting systems (including EN 60598-2-22). The clear and bright illumination of the pictogram ensures an increased viewing distance of 30 metres. This enables safe planning of escape routes in large assembly areas, warehouses, long corridors, and spacious public areas. In the event of a power failure, the luminaire immediately switches to emergency mode and ensures orientation for at least 3 hours.

Low-maintenance and economical thanks to modern technology

The heart of the X8-30LFP is the long-lasting LiFePO₄ battery. Compared to conventional NiCd batteries, this technology offers a significantly longer service life, higher thermal stability and no memory effect. This reduces replacement intervals and lowers total operating costs. The integrated automatic self-test function automatically performs weekly function tests and six-monthly duration tests. The status of the luminaire is indicated via a multi-coloured LED, which significantly simplifies and accelerates the prescribed inspections.

Easy installation and flexible application

The X8-30LFP is designed for quick and simple installation by the qualified installer. It can be mounted both on the wall and on the ceiling. The delivery includes a complete set of the four most common arrow pictograms as well as a blank foil. This gives you as the installer or planner maximum flexibility in marking escape routes directly on site, making the luminaire a universally applicable stock item.

FAQs about the Beltrona X8-30LFP emergency luminaire

When do I need a luminaire with a 30m viewing distance instead of 20m?

A luminaire with a 30 metre viewing distance is required in areas where the distance from the viewer to the nearest emergency exit sign may be more than 20 metres. This is typically the case in long corridors, large halls (e.g. warehouses or sports halls) or spacious entrance areas, as established in the fire safety concept.

What is the advantage of an LFP battery in an emergency luminaire?

A lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP) has a significantly longer lifespan than conventional NiCd batteries. It is also safer, more environmentally friendly and has no memory effect. This leads to lower maintenance and replacement costs over the lifetime of the system.

How does the automatic self-test function work?

The luminaire automatically and regularly performs short function tests (weekly) as well as a complete duration test (every six months). The test result is indicated by a status LED (e.g. green for "OK", red for "fault"). This considerably simplifies the legally required inspection.

Can I select the operation mode (maintained or non-maintained) myself?

Yes, the desired operation mode can usually be simply set during installation via a jumper or a switch in the luminaire. This allows flexible use depending on building requirements and local regulations.

Are the pictograms included in the scope of delivery?

Yes, a set with the three most common directional pictograms (arrow left, right and down) as well as a blank pictogram is included in the scope of delivery. This allows you flexible and compliant signage directly during installation.
