Beltrona LED emergency light for recessed ceiling mounting (central battery)

Description

Product information

This high-quality emergency luminaire from Beltrona has been specially developed for discreet installation in suspended ceilings and connection to central battery systems (CPS). It ensures reliable and standard-compliant emergency lighting in the event of a power failure. The luminaire combines an unobtrusive design with modern LED technology, central monitoring, and optimised lenses for the illumination of escape routes or anti-panic areas.

Highlights at a glance

  • Central battery compatible: Developed for direct connection to 230V AC/DC central and group battery systems (ZB / CPS).
  • Discreet recessed mounting: Ideal for seamless and architecturally appealing installation in grid or plasterboard ceilings.
  • Central monitoring: Enables simple and efficient monitoring of the luminaire function via the central battery system.
  • Durable LED technology: High efficiency, long service life and minimal maintenance requirements.
  • Optimised illumination: Interchangeable lenses for needs-based escape route or anti-panic lighting.

Reliable illumination in an emergency

This emergency luminaire is the ideal solution for compliant emergency lighting in a wide range of buildings. The recessed ceiling mounting is perfect for use in corridors, offices, retail outlets, schools and hospitals. It ensures that in an emergency escape and rescue routes are clearly recognisable and that panic in larger areas is avoided thanks to sufficient illuminance, without disturbing the overall architectural appearance.

Advanced and efficient LED technology

At the heart of the luminaire is a modern LED module that ensures a high luminous flux with minimum power consumption. Compared to older fluorescent lamps, the LED technology offers a much longer service life of up to 50,000 hours and immediate, full brightness in the event of an emergency. This significantly reduces operating costs and maintenance requirements over the entire service life of the building.

Developed for easy installation and central maintenance

The luminaire is designed for fast and fault-free installation by the specialist in standard ceiling cut-outs. The connection to the central battery system is made via an easily accessible terminal. In a central system, each individual luminaire is permanently monitored via the supply line. Any failure of the light source is immediately detected and reported by the central control unit, which significantly simplifies maintenance compared to single-battery luminaires and increases operational safety.

FAQs about the emergency luminaire

What is the difference between escape route and anti-panic lighting?

The escape route lighting uses a special lens to illuminate a long, narrow corridor and thus clearly defines the escape route. The anti-panic lighting uses a wide, rotationally symmetrical lens to evenly illuminate large, open areas (e.g., foyers, conference rooms), making orientation easier and avoiding panic.

What is the advantage of a central battery system ("ZB")?

Central battery systems (CPS) simplify the maintenance and monitoring of the entire emergency lighting system. All batteries are located in one central location, and regular function tests can be automated and centrally logged. This is significantly more efficient in large buildings than maintaining hundreds of individual batteries in the luminaires themselves.

Can the luminaire be operated in permanent and standby mode?

Yes. The type of switching (permanent switching/DS or standby switching/BS) for the emergency luminaire is defined centrally in the emergency power system for the respective circuit and can be reprogrammed if necessary.

How is the luminaire monitored?

Monitoring is central. If a light source fails or there is another fault in the luminaire circuit, this is immediately detected, specifically assigned and reported as a fault by the central control unit. This enables fast and targeted troubleshooting.
