The adapter enables testing via the charging port or the system plug without the need for complicated disassembly of the battery (depending on the tester model).

Does the adapter also fit Batavus or Koga?

Yes, very often. As Sparta, Batavus and Koga belong to the Accell Group, they often share the ION platform. If the charging connection is mechanically identical, the adapter usually also works for these brands.

Can I measure a Sparta e-bike battery without an adapter?

No. The ION system is a closed, digital system. Without the communication provided by the adapter (or the original bike), 0 volts are present at the contacts. Measurement with a multimeter is not possible.
